Meet Dr. Daniel Melzer
Daniel Melzer, DMD
I feel God has chosen this profession just for me.
Dentistry allows me to combine art and medicine: two things I am very passionate about. I am truly blessed to be able to change people’s lives simply by changing the way they smile. When you have the confidence to smile, people can’t help but smile in return. This leads to a chain reaction of pure joy.
My proudest moments as a dentist are when we — as a team — can transform a person’s whole outlook on life simply by giving him or her a smile to love.
I am a people person. I enjoy getting to know each person in my care: building a trusting rapport and strong connections. Many of my patients feel like an extension of my family and I appreciate that closeness.
I also appreciate the opportunity to work with people who have had negative dental experiences in the past. By listening to what they’ve gone through, respecting their concerns, and always being non-judgmental, supportive, and gentle, I am able to help these people learn that a dental procedure isn’t something to dread; it can truly be a great experience, if you trust the person treating you.
I am blessed to serve the people of Bay County and surrounding communities; I hope I will be able to see and care for them for many years to come.

Beyond the Practice
I grew up in the small town of Sneads, in the northwest Florida panhandle. For more than 15 years I’ve called Panama City Beach my home. My family and I love living here.
Holly, my wife, is a partner at the Barron & Redding P.A. law firm, where she specializes in commercial litigation, real estate law, and contracts. In her spare time, she enjoys showing hunter jumper horses throughout the southeast.
Holly and I have two children: Bailey, a straight-A student and soccer star who loves riding horses and enjoys dance and piano; and Will, who plays soccer, basketball, and football, and is on his way to earning a black belt in Taekwondo.
My greatest passion is being the best husband, father, and son I can possibly be. I have been blessed with a wonderful healthy family and I treasure my time with them. We also have a wonderful church family at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, where I serve as a lay reader and special events cook.
